So whom might she patronise ?

A large proportion of those on the public scene and 100% of keyboard dominants, as far as I can see :-D

I'll never regret this, ...although I may rue and lament it

I don't do kink.

Or rather, I do do kink, but only in the privacy of my sexual life. Where I don't do kink is in a community, whether in real life or online.

I don't really understand what she's getting at... She's been doing the blog long enough that she knows you can't really judge any subculture by the unsolicited emails it generates, and yet that's exactly what she's doing.

She bemoans the lack of Mistress Matisses, but I'm fairly sure that you chances of meeting Matisse improve greatly if you hang around the Wet Spot, not if you hide indoors.

Why? Because in the mass market, a description of a sex worker fisting herself passes muster... just about. However, a sex scene involving less prosaic uses of breast milk probably wouldn't. I can't explain why, say, bondage and large objects entering small holes are acceptably mainstream images of kink and unusual bodily fluids expressed by force are not, but that's the way it is, and such concerns are always in the back of my mind. I might write about it someday, but again - a lot of people don't know what needle play is, so it may take some time to get to, oh I don't know, vomit enemas.

This bit made me laugh...

But am I the only one thinking she is a bit of a spurious and distastefully obnoxious cow? I love the irony of a self professed call girl having the balls to judge anyone elses lifestyle choices.

If she's entitled to such a strong opinion about folks like us, surely I am entitled to a strong one about her :-p

Evidently not. And there's actually rather more irony than meets the eye on this thread.

Though use of the word patronise

harry_lon > (patronise ) A large proportion of those on the public scene and 100% of keyboard dominants, as far as I can see

hasn't (yet) elicited one response I was anticipating.

Nor does patronise equal misplaced : )

Papa_Tim_Sweetness > Why do I care where she does or doesn't go?

Cos it's forbidden fruit ?

Oh, and she does do clubs. Or, did.

To be pedantic (because the edit you made changed the meaning of my post), I said "Why should I care where she does or doesn't go, because she doesn't care about me."

Simply because someone is famous to a degree, doesn't make them any more, or less valid than anyone else. I was just trying to point out that she's only one of thousands of scene people who go out all up and down the country every week. Why should anyone care about her, any more than they should care about and other person? And in fact, I care about her less because I don't even know her.

Do you think she wants people sucking her arse only because they've heard of her and she's got some fame, than actually admiring her for who she is and what she does?

I must admit, I've not got a lot of time for 'Belle'. I think it came to a head when I saw her described as "a remarkable woman" on the blurb of her second book.

Really, truly, honestly...what's so remarkable?

She can string a sentence together and will take a gobful of random jizz in the mouth for reasonable fee. That's a quality in a woman that I think most would remark upon, thus she's remarkable. Nobody is saying she's Emmaline Pankhurst or Marie Curie. A dead hedgehog or a particularly late bus can also be remarkable. It's not exactly high praise.

It's a trap.
