battlestar wasnt around during art deco ... television wasnt around then ....lol

so its pop art ... or movie memorabilia ( how do you spell it)

Thats what I thought. But I was told it was pop art.

maybe some pop art is influenced by art deco so there will always be a cross over ?

they are more akin to Soviet WW2 propaganda posters - hints of Constructivism etc

Definitely not Art Deco. Art Deco was quite feminine albeit constructed of clean simple lines.

the Russian influence is in the single stylised figure poster - lots of shadow, sharp edges, abstract background etc

the slogan-based ones are more US/UK etc (Russia's mass illiteracy at the time rendered clever slogans superfluous for most applications)
