battlestar wasnt around during art deco ... television wasnt around then ....lol
so its pop art ... or movie memorabilia ( how do you spell it)

Thats what I thought. But I was told it was pop art. All this has happened before and will happen again.

maybe some pop art is influenced by art deco so there will always be a cross over ?

the Russian influence is in the single stylised figure poster - lots of shadow, sharp edges, abstract background etc
the slogan-based ones are more US/UK etc (Russia's mass illiteracy at the time rendered clever slogans superfluous for most applications) |
