Well, not to speak too soon, but I've survived the first two days of my return to University, albeit being absolutely shattered and in a hell of a lot of pain through pushing myself too hard to keep up (walking-wise) and make friends. More of an update when I'm not almost collapsed over the keyboard, and hopefully life will settle when lectures begin properly next week and a routine is established.

I have a "mentor" this week (funny enough, a good friend from the first time round), who is being paid to support me, help me fill in forms, do the running round etc. And then from then on I should have a PHD student helping me. Still no notetaking, but its getting there slowly. They seem to have moved the lecture rooms closer together as we also now have a wheelchair user on our course. Looking hopeful anyway!
