Yesterday was such a wonderful sunshine filled day
It took Master two and a half hours to drive us over to Whitby but it didnt matter cos the sun was shining, it was warm and we were together looking at the scenery and chatting(ok, so Master would say that i was chatting and he was listening as usual)
After finding a parking space in Whitby we went straight for lunch at a really nice fish and chip cafe....Master had scallops and then fish pie while i had prawn cocktail and then plain old fish and chips which were delicious.
We then walked our lunch off with a climb up the steps to the Abbey...it was so lovely up there with spectacular views and we couldnt believe how warm it was.
Coming down we decided to give the steps a miss and walked down the cobbled slope which was rather like taking our life in our hands as it was so steep.
I ended up carrying a womans baby for her while she held onto her little girl and i was terrified that i would fall full length with the baby in my arms but eventually we got down safely with Master carrying my bags and holding onto a very sticky ice cream which dripped all over his hand and my handbag.
After that we had a milk shake and cake and then had a walk on the beach before looking around the shops and eating cockles...its a wonder we wernt sick with all the different things we ate during the day.
Whitby seems to be made up of two completely different parts...the old side and the new side.
We both prefer the old side with its little cobbled streets and quaint shops although the newer side was thriving and very busy and clean.
Before we made our way back to the van we went into a chocolate shop and treated ourselves....as well as my usual choccy creams i bought a slab of very strong chilli chocolate which i find appeals to my taste buds.
On Masters instruction ive broken a piece off and put it in the fridge until Thursday evening when Master will find out if it also appeals to my clit!!!!
After the long drive home we were both shattered....Master more than me cos he had been the one driving of course.
We were both really glad we had gone back to Whitby...its a beautiful place and we intend to go again during the cold winter months to see just how different it is.
Oh yes, and before we set off on our long drive Master sorted my new phone out for me so that i could have a play with it while he was driving...its dead cool, a nokia 6500 slide.
Today i went to the gym this morning and then, after a shower and change of clothes i picked mum up from church and we went out for sunday lunch to a carvery.
Afterwards we had a drive around the countryside and stopped off for coffee at a nice pub.
Phew, its been a busy weekend so this evening im just gonna relax, chill out watching TV and then probably have an early night.

I don't know what it is about your blogs, but...
some people can write about everyday occurences and you loll backwards in slumber and think, so what?
Your blogs, though, always warm the cockles of my heart.
Glad you had a good day! I love Whitby. Touch my garden

If you go to Whitby in early February, the woods at Sandsend are well worth walking in - there is a ruined castle in there that is covered with snowdrops - a truly magical place. |

Whitby is one of my favourite places in England - I absolutely adore it, we go there once or twice a year (always for the goth weekend *chuckle*)
It's a really magical place! ------
