Well,,,,,,,,,,where to start?? I dont think i can find a start or an end. Yesterday was the BEST DAY OF MY ENTIRE LIFE!!
i havent got time to describe every moment as i have so many snapshots of the day in my head, that im still grinning like a loon. i was a loon!! the whole day from start to finish was perfect, and i wouldnt change a second of it.
Top 10 favourite memories (so far)
1. Waiting in the Registrars office for the music to start signalling our entry. My dad squeezing my hand so hard it hurt! Hearing the violins start, the doors opened, bridesmaids disappeared off down the aisle, and then it was us. I was SO unprepared by the wall of emotion that just hit me. Tears streamed, and i couldnt contain myself, especially when i saw all my family in friends with tears in their eyes, and K just beaming.
2. Saying my vows and hearing K say his. We were both so overcome we wobbled and had eye leakage. It choked me up. It meant the world... and i cried!!
3. Signing the register, looking up and realising that 40 cameras were all on us at once. EEEEEEEEEEK. I hate having my photo taken. It *was* the embodiment of my worst night mare!!!
4. Speeches- my very old uncle absolutely cacking his speech up (he was filling in for my dad who isnt well). Every friend and family member now knows my entire medical history (twice over) and that i am industrious and hard working 
K's speech. He took my breathe away XX
Jeff- best man- and he was brilliant!
5. Sitting at the top table and just watching and listening to our friends and family laughing, chatting, smiling and having fun. A brief moment of calm and contentment washed over (before mania reappeared with a vengeance).
6. popping into the hospital between day time and night time to visit my very sick little brother, sprinting down corridors in my wedding dress waving bouquet, people beaming at us, saying congrats, only to get to the ward with 5 mins to spare? brother had disappeared for a fag!!! (luckily he turned up 2 mins later)
7. First dance.......not my choice, but utterly fabulous. (more tears lol)
8. Moshing to the Clash with wenchie. Dj Happily informed us our playlist was the best eva!! it was!!!! at one point i realised i had danced to 5 songs in a row!! (for dance read hopped around over excitedly). My dad flung me round in a jive to "Buttercup", wiggling with TFH, K and i popped around to The kaiser chiefs, i bopped and hopped the night away
9. having TFH be perfect.. she was a joy. unbelievably sweet, and so so happy for us!!!
10. very last thing, hanging out the window of the hotel room, looking over the bay, listening to the sea and just thinking i didnt want the day to ever end........
The day was perfect!!!! i was manic from start to end, but it was my dream day!!! And i just want to add that our mad families and even madder friends made it possible and contributed SO much to making it happen. Thank you!!!!
I want to say a few special thank yous. Melly (and Si) for coming round the night before and being Melly, and making me so excited and being just fabulous. Lolly and H, i cant believe you made it up, it made me day!! Steve, who had a poem all ready to read, and then couldnt, but who spent the entire day and night with us being almost as over excited. Spicecat for being Spicecat, making me laugh all day (and then nipping me so hard i had bruises on my arms... for a change).
Shali, debs, PK, Hells you have NO idea how much it meant to have you there, to share our day and to be so happy with us XXX And a final big hug and thank you to Wenchie and T. Wenchie danced us off the dance floor, out grinned us in the grinning stakes and won a star for being more drunk too
And then the night time..........WOW, i was overwhelmed that so many people came from so far just for the night, and how thrilled i was. I want to thank each and every one of you, you have NO idea how much it was appreciated. You really really made my night. THANK YOU!!!!
And finally to K. Thank you!!! You have made me the happiest person alive!!!
As this is now becoming a bit Oscarish, i will finish with the expected cliche. After a fabulous day, champagne with my new family after, we wandered off to bed and thought the jacuzzi might be a nice end to the day. k started it running, i noticed some bubble bath, tippped it in as it was running (not realising it was shampoo). 5 mins later we wandered back in to discover the bubbles were touching the ceiling!!
In we hopped and bobbed and bubbled, til i tried to get out for a loo moment. result? i stood, slipped backwards, stuck hands out to break fall and felt a crack followed by excrutiating agony) as i slid back down. Lifted up hand, and my thumb was hanging off my hand in the wrong direction.
K looked a bit stunned, and the sight and feel of it made me feel so sick, i smacked it twice really hard, and it popped back into socket!!
Today it was purple and swollen and after a quick trip to A&E with x rays, they think i also have a small fracture and a ruptured ligament. Luckily however i managed to pop it back into the right place.
So tomorrow i have to go back to fracture clinic at 9.20 to the the consultant lol. And then 1pm...........???
HONEYMOON!!!!!!
WITH A POT ON HAND!!!!!!!

Fab post! Everyone who was there was beaming because we all think so much of both of you guys and we were so happy to see you so happy! I don't think there's been a day I've smiled so much! I remember at the end of the night, sitting a bit pissed at a table by the bar and watching you all bopping away to the Kaiser Chiefs and just not being able to stop grinning at how happy you all were! I'm so pleased it was the best day of your lives and I'm sure it marks the start of the best time of your lives. All my best wishes to two wonderful people for a wonderful life together! | |

Git! Youve just brought tears to my eyes again!!!
The DJ announced last dance, we rushed up and asked for the KC instead...he played both!!! i also managed to rip my dress during that dance, then came and sat with you and finally tipped red vino on it Thank you honey, your words and feelings mean a lot to me and im SO glad you enjoyed it XXX

Technically the thumb incident happened after midnight so it didn't happen on your wedding day, so it was a totally perfect day. And you both looked wonderful and I think you are great together. Heck, if you hadn't married him then I'd be tempted to. Wish you lots of happiness together and enjoy yer honeymoon. x What I say goes... | |

Thank you all so much your presence on the day was humbling. K the happy and undamaged "I love to go down to the schoolyard and watch all the little children jump up and down and run around yelling and screaming. They don't know I'm only using blanks."
