Suitcase Calling (9)

Packing things is once again underway.
Or at least it should be, but there's a good few days left yet! For those that haven't guessed, which I admit is probably most of you, it's just a few days now before I'm plodding off back to Uni.
Summer here has been ok, alebit quiet (hence my lack of pointless rambling updates on life). Aside from one wonderful weekend away all I've really done is worked and tried to put bits of money aside for the year ahead. All work and no play does make a dull boy, but a dull boy that will hopefully be able to spend the year ahead slightly better off than the last one! But as soon as I'm back in the midlands, it's full steam ahead again. Vague plans are being made for the weekend I get there, there'll no doubt be things in the week ahead of that, and that's not even counting the Uni parts
On that note though, a letter this morning told me who my personal tutor for the year ahead would be, and that news couldn't really have been better. Back in the mists of time when I visited before decided which Uni to go to, the man in question was probably the person that swung it for me over the other places I seriously considered; not for any wonderful thing me might have done, but he just had that right brand of academic enthusiasm and delivery that 'did it' for me. Everyone else I met just seemed 'Meh, potential freshers, I guess I should ask you to please come to our institution' (aside from one person I met at Leeds, who I got on really well with, but wouldn't be teaching on anything I'd have done there), whereas he actually talked about the subject with passion. And why I'm rambling about this given barely anyone will care, and no-one at all would know who he is, I don't know!
Still, that letter alone has made me feel that lovely exciting buzz about the year ahead, let alone picking through the module catalogue for the two things I've yet to decide on, which will need doing before the end of next week. It feels like starting all over again in a way, just with an established life of sorts down there to make it all that much better.
So, as the title says, suitcase calling. Ok, so more accurately it'll be a couple of suitcases, a good few boxes, a computer, and a couple of bags, but I can't remember that being a song at all, let alone one that I like

I have to admit I've not being paying a lot of attention, but the few little browses I've had haven't really had anyone leaping off the page yet. Still, there'll no doubt be a million and one christmas tours by people who are worth seeing to be announced soon enough! When a man loves a woman it should be understood,

Well I can't exactly pack any of that here, can I? When a man loves a woman it should be understood,

Despite having to work all summer it looks like the original plan is kind of working though so well done you for actually having the courage to do it.
Good luck for the new term and if the rail fares to Manchester don't bankpupt you, come over and see us soon.
xxx I'm in my own world. It's Ok, they know me here.

Well the alternative to working would have been to sit around and do nothing at all because of a lack of money. I think the best option all round was the one that was taken!
As for visiting you all, I'm quite sure something could be arranged with little trouble! When a man loves a woman it should be understood,
