The play area upstairs was available not long after 6pm with the TwistedSisters having checked that the equipment was safe and ready for use ... if people didn't use it and they were milling around instead that isn't the organisers fault. This sort of event evolves ... timings can only be a guide and it's the people that make the event what it is. pure x ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

and theres a huge eat all you want Chinese buffet restaurant downstairs too (well ok you'd have to walk out and onto main street to get in). I think all the traders had a busy time.

Well we thought for the 1st event it was really well planned and we loved it, we have been to others all over and we can honestly say this one was fantastic.
Honestly, if I wanted your opinion, I would remove the duct tape

ahha... one to remember for next time Our only negative comment was the lack of changing space, which once reflected upon, was probably the reason the 'play' didn't start until later.
Possible suggestion could be once the stalls are packed away downstairs, utilise a bit of space down there for a changing area (I know there was a raised area in one corner where the photographer had been based) and also definitely some seating down there. I think if this was added it would get more people dancing, and freeing up the play space upstairs. These are by no means criticism's however... purely suggestions for next time

I personally would like to thank Donnachaide and Lady Alpha for organising such a big event, a lot of work went into organising it, a big thanks to all the staff and crew that also helped to make this event a successful one a massive thanks to Excaliber you did a stupendus job on the barbi. We all worked very hard to make sure everyone had a fab time. Well from the feed back so far everyone had a great time, the stalls were great, I had a brillient time going round all of them, all of which I hope will come back again, as I didnt have enough money to spend this time, although I did manage to buy a pair of boots and shoes from alternative footwear and they look fabulous on btw. the equipment seemed to be well used which was wonderful to see and the few demo's I did manage to see were fun to watch, Excaliber I enjoyed the twist on the breast harness as did my Sir from the look on his face lol. It was nice to meet some new people aswell as see regular faces( hope to have a bit more time to chat next time we all meet). I have some lovely marks on my bottom this morning ( which Sir is so pleased to see as I dont normally mark ). All in all I think it was a very successful day and night and much fun was had by all that attended. flying high is fun ( suspention that is hee hee )

Well after a pretty horrific week (infected arm, most of the week in hospital and a catastrophic relationship implosion.. But (mainly thanks to Yorkshiredom and Opal) I'm glad I did. I was very chuffed to be asked to play by the organisers and although i know the music might not have been to everybodies tastes I did try and vary it a little (sorry about OMD...) However being a veteran of several clubs across the country i was quite impressed. Although the DJ box was nightmare to navigate (no fault of the orgnaisers it was just a particularly poorly thought out layout in there) the rest of the club was super - wish i could run my night there TBH. Lovely people good to reasonable drinks, excellent food, decent etiquette (compared to some shocking behaviour I've seen at TG for example)and on the whole a fantastic effort form the organisers to the clubbers to the staff.
Look forward to seeing you all there - might even bring a friend to play next time
special thanks to Andy and Dan for getting me there and back and to Opal for kicking my moody arse into 'proffesional' gear rather than 'gutted & heartbroke' raaar!

Well here's another massive 'thumbs up' for a superbly organised and well run event. I will echo all of the previous positives, b-e-g and I had a great time catching up with friends old and new - we even managed a play session!... hope this event goes on to be bigger and better as the months roll by - I know we will certainly be back as often as we can. Congratulations to the whole crew M & C x “You will become as small as your controlling desire; as great as your dominant aspiration”

Just to add my tuppence worth Great day and, for a first event, appeared to go off without any hitches, which is pretty remarkable and something for T&L and their crew to be proud of.
The place was clean and a good size and the food was excellent - well done Ex for not poisoning anyone Can't comment about the bar prices but can say that the coffee being sold by the venue looked like dishwater - and tasted even worse than it looked - unfortunately beyond the control of the organisers. Looking forward to next time. J
And both would cost you an extra £50 or so in fuel to get to. Swamp is 3 hours shorter too btw. BBB & afterparty is £15, and having been to the BBB afterparty I'd say Kinkdom is an even bigger bargain. Most clubs charge at least a tenner - most fet fairs around a fiver so I'd say £15 for the day was around about the market price. --------------------------------------------------- -------- |
