I made the decision this week to let go of all ties with my ex sub, deleted his MSN, his email, his phone numbers and facebook friend. It has been a roller coaster since he left to live with his vanilla girlfriend 10 weeks ago, I would have no contact then suddenly he would be there out of the blue, making me question his actions, his need of me. In the end I realised I was just his sounding board, he wasnt happy, wasnt sure he had made the right choice, hated where he lived but loved his new job. In every conversation I have had with him since he has left, not once did he say he had made the wrong choice of partner, only that he missed me, that he didnt know how to live his vanilla life, still needed to be told what to do. There was no thought of how it had all affected me, how it was me that had been left behind to rebuild and start again. And thats what made me realise any relationship with him was more harmful than good, I couldnt be a friend to someone who only thought of themselves. So now he is free, he made his choice,now he must live with it, without me. And me? Now I am free too, I have taken back control, a Domme without control?? hee hee, control of my feelings and emotions, my thoughts and decisions. And it feels good, so so good. xx

Good for You. Being on this side of the '/' doesn't just mean having responsibility for the good stuff, the fun things it also means We have responsibility for making the tough calls, the hard decisions and sticking to them. If a situation is unhealthy... for Us, for them or for both then if it can't be changed it must be ended and We, have to have the strength to do so. Onwards and upwards, wish them well but they are part of the past and both move on. |
