Just a quick update tonight peeps...
Well 3 sunflowers are in bloom :D
The tallest sunflower is now well over the neighbours fence and is looking into their garden. NOT, much to my chargin, into the garden which fed and nurtured it. Ungrateful bugger. Still the petals are a very pretty shade of yellow.
Speaking of flowers the Dorset Naga aka World's Hottest Chilli has flower buds on it... be afraid be very afraid.
In other chilli news the two Scotch Bonnet plants have some quite respectably sized fruit on them having only produced pea sized fruit previously.
Triffid continues in his tomatoely splendor... fruit not showing any signs of wanting to ripen yet however.
I had a very exciting moment (well exciting for a first time vegetable grower) last week when I pulled up some more test carrots and found.... dan dan dahhhh! That there were actual carrots on the end! Much bigger than the last one I pulled up even if still baby sized. I ate one raw and it was quite quite delicious :D
That is pretty much it for this SSW apart from the sad news that my lettuce seems to have quitely come to the end of it's season after filling my sandwiches all summer. RIP lettuce.
That's it for this week peeps... tune in again to see if Triffids fruit have turned red at last and whether or not I've pulled up any parsnips.

What happened to W14??? You tease us with your veg growing ways and then ..... No wonder sunflower turned away. Neglect can a wounding experience!!
