She sat on the cold wall. It was hard and unyielding under her bottom, uncomfortable even. But she never noticed. She stared straight ahead, the waves in front of her crashing onto the rocks below. The sea was angry today, dark and forbidding, waves high and strong, swirling undercurrents waiting to take lost souls to their death.
Normally she loved the sea like this, could sit and watch it for hours, somehow calming her after a stressful day. But not today. Today her own turbulent thoughts were stronger than the pull of the sea.
Questions running through her mind, over and over again, searching for answers that just couldn't be found.
Tears poured from her eyes, ran down her face as she cried her heart out. Not the quiet sobs that she normally allowed herself, but real gut wrenching wails that bent her over double. Her mascara mixed with the tears leaving long black streaks over her pale cheeks. She folded her arms about herself, hugging herself, and rocked back and forth as the screams of desperation poured from her mouth.
She didn't notice the small crowd that had gathered to witness her distress, nothing existed for her but the deep darkness in her mind, and the questions that haunted her day after day until she felt she would go mad.
She knew she looked a mess, snot dripping from her nose onto her chin, deep dark black smudges over her cheeks, eyes wild and unseeing. But she didn't care, nothing mattered anymore.
The small crowd was becoming larger, and over in the distance there came the sound of sirens, heading in her direction.
She wiped her nose on her sleeve and stood. Her bottom was numb from the cold wall, but it didn't matter, her body and mind were numb all over anyway.
For the first time, her vision cleared and she saw the sea, majestic in its anger.
Her mind cleared, and for the first time in what seemed forever, the questions stopped, and she knew the answer. She looked at her old friend the sea and a small smile curved at her lips. She lifted her arms high above her head and stepped forward.
She sailed through the air, arms outstretched waiting to embrace her true friend. In the distance she heard screams and running feet. But it was too late, she had met her friend and now the questions and anguish had stopped.

wow , my first thoughts were i want to be there i want to see the sea in all its glory made me remember the times i have been to spurn point i so love it there, but im not ready to jump in lol too damm cold lmao. hugs xx well written though x life saw i needed a true playmate one that compliments me and life brought to me *GoldMane* | ||
