In gardening news my sunflowers are going from strength to strength. I really must dig out my steel tape measure but at a rough gestimate the biggest one is clocking up growth of roughly an inch a day. It has about 18 inches to go before it makes it to the top of the garden fence and if the weather remains mild with some sun I think it's going to make it.
Baby tomatos are bursting forth all over the plant henceforth affectionately known as Triffid, although the index tomato is still quite green.
My beloved jasmine is back from the dead and is in flower again despite not having done so since 2003.
Yesterday I pulled up one of the carrots just to check that I was actually producing carrots at the other end. It was a teeny tiny little thing, a carrotette if you will, but an orange taproot was definately present which is all I wanted to see. I've not eaten it yet, but will do so tomorrow along side some supermarket carrots for taste comparison. I will try report back afterwards if I remember.

You do realise that you're probably becoming a threat to "The Archers" by now. I wouldn't be surprised if you had a visit in the dead of night from the Pebble Mill Mafia.
