What process do you follow when looking for a Pro Dom/me? I realise that there will probably be a different answer from every individual, but I do wonder if any patterns could form in the answers. I imagine that locality would probably be the biggest consideration but what else is there? Specialities? Certain websites? Word of mouth? Price? Any others? Regards, Pierced Knight. Im fortunate in not having been in the position, to need to seek the services of a PD, but having read your question, i would imagine, if i ever did, one of the main considerations would be - The spark, i would only feel comfy to approach someone i had met real time, at a local munch or party etc...and had felt a connection with, a lack of real spark/connection would be a no/no for me, so i guess locality would be important too.

Would not recommendations and/or reputation be a very good part of the process? I do wonder if this applies more to those newly approaching the scene. SS This insert was added using 100% recycled words.

Jesus, why the drama? Pray, what's so tragic about visiting a pro-Domme? I know the tribute can be a tad steep if you are on the dole, but you refer to it as if paying for BDSM is only comparable to spending your weekends in a crack den. Too much of a morbid imagination, methinks Cultivate your inner whore

looks around for drama...
no drama, and theres nothing IMO tragic, about using the services of a PD, i made no ref to tributes, and certainly would have no prob, visiting a PD, if i had a need for their services and Lady Stardust sang her songs, of.....

What's so unfortunate about paying a pro-Domme then? And why is your situation, whatever it is, more fortunate than paying for BDSM? I mentioned the money becaue that seems to be, by defualt, what bothers more people who post objecting to pro-Dommes on this boards. I'm not having a bunfight with this lady Proccie, I'm asking a genuine question. You can save your popcorn for Orange Wednesdays. Cultivate your inner whore

theres nothing i am aware of, thats unfortunate about paying a PD. fortunate - in that my needs are met, and that i have no need to seek, either paid, or unpaid BDSM.

I understand that due to the psychological nature of the D/s dynamic, it would be important to find somebody that a sub/bottom could 'connect' with. But, how? What process would someone go through to find someone who they connect with? This is a 'Pro' that we are talking about, not someone who you can 'date' for a while to work out your personalities. I imagine a sub/bottom who wants to go to a PD but doesn't know any personally - what moves do they take? Regards, Pierced Knight.
