Damn, there our community goes again with serious and shameful skirmishes with the law... driving with bare feet in the UK is illegal. Even if it a lot safer than driving in 5" heels. There was a famous case where a woman drove naked, got pulled and the only charge they could find against her was driving with bare feet. Wonderful place, the UK.. It just seemed natural - its a wonderfully facilative role, of course, massaging a woman's feet, kissing them, paying them lipservice (!) Honouring them for all the valuable work they do, supporting the weight of someone special walking on this planet. And it lends itself so well to the right and sensible and pleasing status I wish to be in - I like looking UP to someone, I LIKE being at someone's feet. I think I'll disagree with my sister for once though, or at least offer a different perspective - I don't feel at all humbled when doing so, I feel very furtunate, to be sitting at a beloved one's feet - it symbolises and actualises the concept of LOOKING UP to someone. Every night I make a ritual of massaging my wife's feet, its a pact I made with her, that every night I am with her I shall do so, because I 'hold her in esteem above all other women' - Thats a feeling I want to have, that she put into those words above. Thats what she wants to feel from me too, and loving her feet, thats such a perfect way of expressing that, kissing them, soft soft kisses, its an act of adoration to me, and of gratitude, its almost a prayer of thanks to a benevolent universe that let the two of us meet. It is many things, and in many ways perfect. It never fails to conjour up that spirit I wish always to be aware of, and influenced by, that moves me to simple, devotional happiness.
We're damned if we do and damned if we don't...So we might as well do. |
