...well i'm not. But I am going to be!

I know those who know me will say I'm fine as I am, and that maybe so :-$ but i'm just not happy.

Five years ago I was 7 stone lighter than I am now and very fit, going to the gym three times a week.

Granted at the time I thought I was the size of a house (silly girl).

Over the last 5 years some issues and problems and my down right laziness has resulted in me being very overweight and terribly unfit :(.

Before christmas I joined slimming world and lost two stone, but i've used recent events as an excuse to pile it back on.

So enough is enough.

So here it is in black and white, my statement of intent: I'm giving myself a year, to lose 6 stone, thats 7 pounds a month.

A nice reasonable healthy steady amount to lose I think.

The hope is if I put this down somewhere i'm more likely to stick to it! Well hopefully.

I am to change my lifestyle permantly rather than just *diet*. Started today :) and all my healthy shopping arrives from Asda tomorrow!

Being 6ft2 and 10 stone will make you very underweight. It will be a BMI of around 18 which isn't good.

A healthy weight for your height is between 12 to 14 stone.

Ok confession time. My weight on my profile is wrong. I've just not updated it in a while - it got to depressing to do so.

The weight i'm aiming for is a healthy weight.

My BMI is around 18/19 and always has been. I'm healthy and care for my little miracles and all the usual life stuff no worries. "Proper" BMI's be damned, where's the room for manoeuvre.

Good luck.

Good luck, but don't be frightened to do it a little slower. Losing weight can be a long process, and sometimes if it takes a little longer to shift it is better - and it stays off longer.

Seven pounds a month is actually quite a lot. You'll lose LOADS at first and then it will tail off a bit. Don't get discouraged. Keep plugging :-D.

I've been there (ok not 6 stone - but a decent amount) and it is hard but worth it.
