UK(E), 3 yrs Well I guess the NOTW felt it would be safe paying an ex-archbishop to comment on such obviously delicate matters. Rumour has it they did they to get a comment off Dr Rowan Wiliams but he was out at Club Lash when they called.

Wasn't the C of E set up specifically for the divorce of Henry VIII!
Any bets on whether Henry was adulterous prior to the annulment?
On that basis the 'Head of the Church' can do no wrong, it's their church.

Indeed. He already had special dispensation from the Pope to marry his brother's widow (Henry's brother, this is, not the Popes), and had written a defence of the seven sacraments for the Church, for which the Pope had given him an A+ and a big gold star, and then he fucks off and sets up a new church! Bloody heretic...

Even more hypocrital was that When Carey was archbishop,many vicars(like today) were openly gay and he tolerated that, which goes against scripture. So if he could turn a blind eye towards gay vicars why is he so moralistic towards MM ?
