Now this post I like.
But do they really eat babies? I was under the impression that the leaders of certain religions were fond of letting babies get to childhood so they could join the "choir". Then as the pope condemned contraception and other aspects of normal life he could invest lots of money into covering up the child abuse that is committed by his devoted god fearing "celibate" paedophiles.
It is after all a known fact that paedophiles go for jobs in which they can have uninterrupted contact with children...the government has pretty much ruined it for paedophile teachers...so its either the internet or the church.
Organised religion has a lot to answer for...and child abuse is just the tip of the iceberg...thats one of their less common crimes against humanity and their attempts to control it.
And religion still has an influence on both the monarchy and the government...they're scared lol

Nothing surprises me with the News of the Screws, it's spent a 150 years making a living out of printing titilation, innuendo, smut and lies. Yet they claim to be trying to up hold morals. If you believed all of the rubbish they printed then there must be a paedo on every corner going to snatch your little girl, a rapist hiding in every bush. The bush is only a problem if you haven't managed to be stabbed by the gangs of marauding chavs in hoodies or you've not been mugged or sold drugs by illegal immigrants!
We looked at crime figures in the office after one of the clerks who is into graphs decided to collate 40 years worth of government statistics. Apart from a few blips in certain areas, the only crimes that have risen are basically drug related and sexual offences. Fraud has cases have remained the same pretty much, just the field of operation shifting, ABH/GBH pretty much the same, assaults with deadly weapons slight blip over the past few years etc.
Infact if nothing else, crime is dropping in general as detection of criminals improves. Unfortunately burgularies are still on the up, mainly due to the police seemingly almost giving up on detection, though locally to me they are very pro-active.
Unfortunately these days, our local rozzer has a couple of rain forests worth of paperwork to fill in if he so much as talks to someone. 95% is completely worthless, both Conservative and New Labour initivies generating a lovely carbon footprint!
So who do we believe, well certainly not the NoTW. When they decided to out paedio's a few years back they were outside Oxford nick and actually managed to print two photo's of screws just coming off duty and listed them as dangerous deviants! May be those two were into cell time play?
So now thw News of the Screws have rolled out a former archbishop, are they next going to claim that they are on a mission from God???

Regarding Woman E's statement, I think Thurlbeck admitted in court that a statement was prepared by the the NOTW for her to sign, and not without some duress.
They could all team up and go after News International, but having not read the Bild article as I've not located a translated version I'm not certain what references were made to ladies A-D. As for "Michelle", her arse is grass and I would happily hand out the scythes!

I think its like a grown up version of a comic...it can be skimmed through and has bold headlines and pictures to attract attention to certain articles.
Unfortunately there are people who really beleive what is written in these papers....and are under the impression that if the press says it then it must be true. However I have noticed that said papers are actually slagging off the people who tend to read them. ie working class and "underclass"...they enjoy printing articles about "benefit scroungers"...but many of those classed as "benefit scroungers" buy only red top papers.
Without going on a rant about certain things...I think the most helpful thing I can say is that there are many people who are so socialised to accept what they are told is acceptable, that they will reject not what they are directly told to reject, but what is implied and in that nasty and sneaky way certain aspects of the media have...that which makes them feel more normal and accepted and better or at least not as bad as someone else.
(I just think the angry face is really cute)

By the way this archbishop reference in the OP is this to do with the church of england?
Because a large number of male bishops are moaning about the possibility of women being made bishops. Apparently some of the male bishops might walk out...maybe theyre scared of cooties....its like those exclusively male golf clubs...and the masons. A woman cant possibly play golf, womens dna does not allow this...we lack the chromosone that lets us swing a golf club, we can cook and sew though
This is what I love about religion, they tentatively support equal rights but only as long as a woman is not allowed to go above collection plate duties and maybe playing the organ...cos we are good with our hands. But only if we're using them for domestic duties.
Most of that was my arsy feminist type opinion but the article is in The Times July 1st; "Clergy plan mass exit over women bishops".

eta just checked archbishops of canterbury and york are referred to in regard to church of england....they just dont want to share their wanky hats and uniforms. Bloody hell all it takes is a bit of cardboard and some decent felt tip pens...and the silly dress thingy...birmingham rag market and a needle and thread.
