My blogs (5)

Hollytg's profile

Today I got up and had crumpets, four to be precise. I started with two, then had another two....

Is that what you want from my blog?. Something so mundane that it will never upset anyone?. You won't get that.

My blogs often contain contentious issues and that's the way it is. I don't set out to upset people but neither will I start filtering so I don't upset anyone.

After the blog on suicide I read some of the remarks then stopped reading them. I figured they're just gonna upset me so I decided not to.

Point is, you all have the same choice, if you don't like my blogs, don't read them.

but by the same token understand that by putting up blogs designed for a reaction - a reaction you will get.

Does a blog writer have to accept any responsibility for what they're writing? What if their 'contentious' blogs are being read by people that may be in an even more vulnerable place? ie the 'suicide' blog?

PS: Good choice on breakfast by the way, I like crumpets too :-D

Like I said on that blog, I think most people misunderstood what you were saying. I think what *they* thought you were saying was that people who commit suicide have failed at life. That you were cruelly judging people other than yourself for having those thoughts.

Surely, if you know that's the impression *they* got, their reactions feel less hurtful for you?

I have been reading your blogs over the past month or so, I have noticed your not in a good place at the momment. Therefore when I read your last blog I understood the angle it was coming from.

I wish you strength and ease from the unhappy times you are experiencing.

All the best, Louise.

I usually love your blogs; they say a lot in very few words. I think that there is far too much censoring everywhere. I believe that if you have something to day, then say it. In these PC time, people worry far too much about offending others.

I have said to several people here when they have complained about people's blogs, if you don't like what a certain person writes about, then don't read them. If I find someone's blogs tedious, I don't click on them in the future. If I agree with someone, I will say so. If I disagree with someone, I will say so. Just as I believe that it is a person's right to post what they want, it is also my right to agree or disagree with that opinion. This is not a personal attack on them, although some see it that way, but just a disagreement with what they have stated.

Keep up the posts, they are some of my favourites on here; I love them
