The BBC journalist now has more submissives/bottoms willing to talk about their desires than he knows what to do with. Thanks one and all. Let's see what he comes up with... The article should appear sometime tomorrow. Edited Sun 13 Jul 08, 3:33 PM by backlash_uk

it will be on the phone. He is quite approachable, though. We could help you prepare, if you wanted to go ahead.

In the present climate people are not realy going to want to speak to a journalist. A bit of advice I would give to anyone who is tempted to speak to them be careful, ever so careful as my experience of most journalist is that they would sale their grandmother for a good story, in fact it doesn't have to be a good story! If they want to know from a sub view then would recommend that they cotnact people via IC memo and people can give them responses'!

They never seem to have any trouble finding people to talk out of their arses.

I know it's an obvious think to say but I'm going to say it anyway! I'm very cynical of mainstream media in putting forward balanced arguments, on any subject. Don't get caught up the rush (and I may say the understandable rush) to defend ones-self it very easy for programme makers to edit the true picture in an effort to demonize us. Mr Smacker

It is for the on-line (i.e print) pages. The BBC covered backlash's campaign fairly.

I'd do it - I'm happy to talk about the whys and whats, I just need a bit of ID protection!! "Being submissive may have put rope on my body, but it has released my soul from bondage" Edited 13 Jul 08, 12:40 PM by redflamephoenix

I've agreed to do it and will be speaking to him later today. I'm planning to give some rigorous answers rather than the banal "it's my choice, I'm normal really, it's where I get to express my "real" self, blahblahblah" rhetoric -- which I think we need to go beyond. Just digging out my Jeffrey Weeks quotations! He's done a lot of work on the changing demographics of the scene, which is what this journalist appears to be interested in. http://sm-feminist.blogspot.com/ Edited 13 Jul 08, 12:38 PM by verte |
