OK, hands up who thought the image of a small lap dog being vibrated across the floor after stealing a dildo from a hidden BDSM stash was a pant-wettingly funny as I did? Not read it yet? Then do! The moment is priceless.... Where have you found other unexpected kink in book? Now the summer is here, we could do with some books to curl up with and read whie it rains.....

Perhaps not pant-wetting, but pretty damned amusing. Can't think of any unexpected kink at the moment - not kink shown in a positive/funny light, although it's all over the place in a negative light. Hang on... Ladylord, by Sasha Miller, that's got a few bits of kink in it. Not precisely unexpected, but not entirely negative. It's harder to think of instances of non-negative kink in a non-kink book than to recall books like the Kushiel series (kink all over the place); Laurell K Hamilton (wall to wall kink) etc where the kink is very much part of the book. I'll carry on thinking. Is incidental kink more common in sci-fi/fantasy than in other genres? --A lady is never offensive... by accident.-- |
