A box.. or a coffin. That's OK, it's a perfectly ordinary perversion. Right for some, not for others. Madonna claimed that Sean Penn used to lock her in a cupboard and only take her out for sex.

I have been locked in a cupboard many times, a lovely warm airing cupboard with a soft duvet around me! I think it's a fantastic way to reflect on your situation. The bordom passes and then you're left alone with your thoughts and your fears. Then, when the door opens, you seem to see the world and everything in it as brand spanking new!

during a previous relationship, i was kept in a cupboard when not either at work or in use. this went on for maybe four months. no, it's not just a fantasy, it was the best way for my Domme to spend time with friends or Her daughter, without me being in the way. at times, i was allowed a walkman and or writing materials in with me, at other times i wasn't. the boredom is a factor, as others have said - i found that i passed through it after a while and tended to feel all kinds of gratitude when i was taken out. wi respect, m/a/t have tongue... will grovel

This is a favorite fantasy of mine, so I build a sensory deprivation box just big enough to lie down in. All the sides are padded and lined in PVC, and it is a nice tight squeeze when all the hatches are closed. Given that I'm sadly lacking a Mistress, I'm not forced into it, nor am I locked inside it, but I provides a wonderful feeling of complete and utter isolation that I've been unable to find anywhere else. The darkness is terrifyingly black; the lack of external sound is so unusual that it seems you really can hear your own pulse. After a while I find it very calming, so much so that I can easily fall asleep in there (don't worry, there's plenty of air circulation!) Perhaps if I were forced into it, or locked inside it for an unknown duration, it would be a lot more terrifying, but for me it is a pleasant place to escape to.

you remind me of this progamme: horizon: the woman who thinks like a cow please don't think i'm saying you're a cow! temple grandin is an amazing woman. there's more about her at the link above, but this bit in particular seems apropos: "During a summer spent on her aunt's ranch, when she was 16, she began to notice that nervous cattle seemed to calm down when they entered a piece of equipment called a squeeze chute. Designed to hold the cattle still, whilst they received veterinary treatment, the wooden contraption clamped the cows along either side of the body. As the sides squeezed their flanks, Temple noticed several of the cows become visibly relaxed and calm. Eager to find a way to conquer her own anxiety she asked her aunt to operate the chute on her. The result was a revelation. Temple felt much calmer and the effect lasted for several hours afterwards. Inspired by her experiences on the ranch, she built her own human squeeze machine at home. She still has one installed in her bedroom. There is a scientific explanation for what seems like her quirky behaviour. Psychologists have discovered evidence to suggest that the effects of deep pressure on the body are very real and can be beneficial and calming for many people with autism." perhaps it works for the rest of us too?
