I havn't read the whole thread but Lloyds chemist are doing a VERY cheap alternative for a fiver which also has an infa red heat side. Obviously it might not be as great as the Hitachi but no voltage conversion worries and it's only a FIVER. No I don't have any connection with Lloyds but I've got one and if left on the floor it shakes the house! I may be easy but I'm not cheap! PMSL (OK so maybe I've over stated the cheap bit) | ||

They are very effective but IMO the speed is too fast on the fast setting and not slow enough on the lower setting. So I would recommend getting the variospeed unit or whatever it's called.
