Does any ladies have any advice please on which chastity device I would be best fitting on my sub who has'nt worn one before. I'm trying to decide between the CB2000 or the new CB6000.

£ CB2000 is the best in my opinion. Much better for longer term wear due to wider gaps and less enclosed parts. This helps with daily cleanliness. I have done experiments with both for periods of time and the CB2000 is better on that score.
You can also touch more of the penis whilst in the Cb2000 so the Domme can tease the flesh a little and make it grow!

Just because one likes a sub to wear a chastity device does not mean the sub is in it permanently or even all the time during each day.
I love fucking ( ask my poor worn out sub) and so for me a chastity device is for when he is NOT with me. He wears it to work, on business trips abroad and any other time when he is away from me for more than a couple of hours. The rest of the time, the device is off and I am free to make use of him sexually as I want.
Of course, to do this one has to have utter belief and trust in the obedience of the sub that he will not take advantage of even small periods of penis freedom. Mine is absolutely obedient and therefore knows he is not allowed to masturbate and so does not do it.
Some Dommes do lock their subs away totally. Maybe their relationship isn't sexual as mine is. Maybe they like the power kick of effectively emasculating a man. Maybe they like other sexual stimulation and so can do without a nice warm, hard cock. Maybe they fuck vanilla guys and keep the sub in chastity. I am sure there are many quite valid reasons why Dommes are mad on male chastity. I hope we get some illuminating replies.

Speaking from a slightly different perspective, having worn the 2000 / 3000 & 6000. The 6000 is the most comfortable and easily put on, mainly due to the ring design, It is 2 piece unlike the 2000 that is solid and it can be quite difficult to get every thing through & the 3000 that has a metal hinge that can course skin irritation, The 6000 however is more difficult to keep clean in and has to be removed to do a proper job, None of these CBs is 100% escape proof the only way to make them 100% is with a PA piercing and an additional lock through the piercing that will prevent “pull out”.

£ Y! My sub bought the CB6000 and could not get it on! He is always semi hard especially when around me, so any ideas would be gratefully received. I have told him to try sitting in a bath of cold water. It appears that the 'cage' part only comes in one size?

I'm guessing this question is rhetorical but in case not, here's my take.
Some people feel incredibly emotional vulnerable and submissive if they can't masturbate - a very personal, prvate and fulfilling act. To have this under the control of a Domme gives an incredibke connection.

I have experimented on a number of slaves with a variety of different devices and personally do not like the devices made from polycarbonate, such as the CB range. I have always found them to be escapable and often unhygienic. Even with the open design of the CB2000 I just find the material makes for stinky genitals.
It all depends on your wants & needs – how long you plan to keep your slave locked away for at one time, what your relationship is like, how often you see your slave, his physical status, etc.
I favor devices made from medical grade stainless steel. I find them to be far more hygienic and like the fact that they are a bit weightier and so far with the designs I like, have been inescapable. Even with the closed end device and when worn for several months there was no foul smell when the device was removed.
My personal favorite has been a device called 2dNi/The Obedience Enforcer – sadly very hard to come by now. There is a new one very similar called the Rondo but this is twice the price of the 2dNi.
In my opinion the only benefits to the CB range is that they are inexpensive, you get to experiment with the different ring sizes and of course the deliciously evil Points of Intrigue. I guess the CB range is an ok starting device but through my own experiences with my slaves have ended up switching to a stainless steel one very quickly. I see that there are add-ons for the CB range that supposedly prevent pulling out and make the device more comfortable to wear. I have not tried these but you may find it useful if you do opt for a CB device - called a KSD (Keep Sake Device).

I had the exact same problem with of my boys – he found it far too stimulating trying to put it on whenever I was there. He got his device on eventually but had to do it after a relaxing bath & when I wasn't there. I guess you will just have to let him do it in his own time. The more he thinks about it and gets frustrated at not being able to wear it for you, the more difficult it is going to be to put it on.

I haven't tried the original CB 2000, but the 3000 is too hard to keep clean over long periods. I now use a Curve for my long term chastity.
On escapability, no device is totally escape proof, except perhaps a Neo-Steel. However, the point is that it would be virtually impossible to get back in to a device with the same lock on it, so your dom / domme would know.
Its why combination locks don't work for me. I know that in a reasonable ammount of time I could find the right combination, and escape for a period without my dom knowing. For me that defeats the object.
However fit is important. The ring round the balls should be quite tight, but don't make the gap to the tube too small or you get pressure sores from the bottom of the tube.
So for me a Curve and a proper padlock work best. The only problem I am having is finding a (Pro) Domme to keep me locked up !
