Dihydrocodeine is a wonderful pain killer, however it can be really nasty when you stop taking it, I went through terrible withdrawals.

DHC does just that - it takes the libido away so effectively that you don't even notice. Some while back I needed it to treat debilitating pain from a severe injury. It killed the pain, and killed my relationship at the time too. Try paracetamol, ibuprofen or something else but most of all, try explaining that it is not you, but the medication which is causing the apparent "lack of interest". |

Yup kills the libido alright along with your brain and yes was the beginning of the end of my marriage too. I was taking as many as 9 a day for a while along with declafenac (anti inflammatories).
I'm fortunate that I don't have an addictive nature so getting myself off them wasn't that difficult for me to do and boy did everything kick in again after that.
I still take them now but only when I really have to otherwise I avoid them. Live your life in such a way that when

Thanks for comments. I'm using it for the first time after a cycling accident and broken bones. I think I'll see how I manage tonight on just paracetomol. Been told to avoid anti-inflammatories as they inhibit healing of collarbone.

I wish you well with your recovery. Perhaps you could just take one at night in order to aid sleep, they do make you drowsy and at least if you get a good nights sleep it will aid your recovery.
Best wishes

I've found some over the counter tablets called co-codamol which contain a full dose of paracetamol and just 8mg of codeine. I'll use 2 of these for the next couple of nights to wean myself off the codeine gently. Thanks for your good wishes.

Yes I had those too, only I enjoyed them.
Dont forget the constipation. Duh really joined up thinking that, give a man a hernia operation on the muscles in his stomach wall so that even coughing is agony, and then make him constipated with codeine.
proccie Oh who is that young sinner with the handcuffs on his wrists?
And what has he been after that they groan and shake their fists?
