Now before the story starts, lets get one thing straight. This is a lightheated blog, not meant to cause offence.

Right, that understood, are you sitting comfortably? Then lets begin:

Once upon a time there were two switches, a male called "On" and a female called "Off".

They both lived in their own seperate parts of the country, lived seperate lives. They both shared one thing though, they both knew there was more to life, to each of them, than the normal "vanilla" world could offer.

One by one On and Off started searching for answers, they turned to the internet, and stared looking into BDSM, it was like a light had flickered within them, from that moment on, they both knew what had been missing in their lives.

Ok they both thought, in their seperate lives, how can we find a partner to share this with. After all tieing up the person you pulled on a Saturday night in the pub, might get you arrested.

One by one their search continued, they found a dating site for BDSM, posted a profile each, stating their likes and dislikes, the fact they were both switchy people, being open and honest about the fact they were turned on by both the D and the s side of the scene.

Eventually they read eachothers profile, and another light switched on. They memo'd each other, from memos they turned to instant messaging, and from there to the phone. Needless to say they got on like the preverbial house on fire. When one was feeling Dominant the other was turned on and went submissive, and vice versa. Everything was positive. Eventually they decided to meet.

They chose somewhere in the middle of where they both lived, a different town. Somewhere new, like their relationship was, it felt somewhat symbolic. They met, enjoyed a meal together, a film, a walk in the park everything was fantastic, they talked about their BDSM desires, and when they first realised that they were "different". Every thing was perfect.

They each went home, texting and calling eachother the whole way, jumped straight on line when they got home, to message eachother. This was the real deal, love.

Well jumping ahead somewhat, they decided to move in together. So they bought a place and did just that. Now remember that for all this time, they were each others yin and yang.

The day of the big move came, and apart from being exhausted, On and Off felt wonderfull and secure in the knowledge that they were going to spend the rest of their lives together.

Then the trouble started, you see they had both opted for the 24/7 lifestyle, beleiving in their wisdom that the switchy harmony would continue.

You remember the one being Dominant and the other being submissive, and vice versa.

Well as real life took hold, the rows started. "I want to watch Corrie on the telly" said Off one day.

"But I wanted to watch top gear" said On

"I am the Domme" said Off trying to win the argument, hoping that On would back down and enjoy the feelings of subbie.

"No I am the Dom " said On, trying to impose his will.

This flowed over into other aspects of their lives, who was going to put the bins out, who's turn to do the dishes, and almost any other chores that needed doing.

You see, whilst they got on at a distance, living together wasn't working.

They would have been better sticking to an ON OFF relationship,
