We make the finest leather paddles you will find anywhere in the world. The leather used is a dipped stirrup butt from the the worlds top tannery. We have never come across another company using a normal stirrup butt yet alone a dipped butt like the one we use. The very high grease content gives a stronger fibre strcuture and stops the leather drying out and cracking as is the case with cheaper hides. Everything is professionally finished to the highest standards, with all edges rounded and polished. Also stitching is saddle stitched with Barbour bonded thead. You will only need to buy these once as they should last a lifetime, so although the initial investment is higher than buying from a cheaper supplier they will give many many years of faithful service, rather having to replace it every few months. We used to stock the paddles mentioned a few years back but had problems with supply. Glad to hear it's lasted so well! We have not been able to find a good supplier of leather paddles and currently do not have the machinery to stitch leather of the thickness required for a solid leather paddle, so there are only the wooden handle slappers on our site at present.
