Isn't this going too far?

Isn't this something only a lunatic would really believe?

Isn't it a rejection of everything we are supposed to strive for?

Isn't it just plain wrong?

So why does my soul cling joyfully to every word?

No.

Not always.

It depends on what excites you.

On a steady diet, probably. I don't think that any system in nature can sustain a steady outflow of energy without eventually failing. The question would be-- Are you getting enough back to make it worth it?

Maybe this is one of those things that is more theory than practical reality? Fantasy is hot. Reality may fall more into the "be careful what you wish for" category.

Yes, I'm sure you are right, but this is the sort of thing that I'm constantly bumping up against.

I live in hope, and while I do, accept that, for me, an unrealised dream is preferable a dashed one.

I like the combination of loving the plaything I trample underfoot. That to me is exquisite.

Agreed. Generally I've found that for me to plan or hope too much I invariably have hopes dashed. What I've learned is that if I head into a situation I think I'd like *and* remain open to the possibilities it offers- that experience frequently exceeds anything I could have fantasized.

Absolutely!

In fact the more the plaything is loved then the further he can be subjected, and the intensity of the 'trampling' is only enhanced by that love. The complete dominance in those times is transformed into a gift of love to the boy who bows down and offers up his submissive soul.

But I am a total N00B feel free to L your As O and flame me

Sometimes both of you The Marquise and Miss Namio reach the poetic on level terms with Sacher Masoch.
