That's the name of a documentary style film from a few years ago.
In it, the fortunes of two inter-related bands are charted - The Dandy Warhols, as posted about by Alley_Cat the other day, and The Brian Jonestown Massacre.
Now, as a brief description, The Brian Jonestown massacre is a bunch of revolving musicians (some willingly, some quite literally kicked out!) playing what's essentially 60's psychedelic music, all revolving around one man - Anton Newcombe. And really, he's a man that defies easy description... Brilliant, catastrophic, talented, shambolic, verging on genius, yet somehow a massive waste of talent.
Imagine Pete Doherty, with both the potential and the problems multiplied tenfold, and that gives an idea (and before someone pipes up, I write this as a fan of Mr Doherty!)
So why am I writing this? Because earlier tonight it was discovered they're touring over here in the very near future. And now there are tickets purchased. Ok, so like the man himself the gig could verge anywhere between a wonderful show where everything flows perfectly and the music is spot on, to disintergrating into him bickering with the audience or throwing punches, but it'll be how it'll be. It can't be much more disappointing than the Smashing Pumpkins valentines day catastrophe after all!

We're SO there. I was so over-excited that I coulds not sleep last night Given our copious experience of Rock Band megastardom, joining BJM is the logical next step *skips off to polish lovebeads and knuckleduster*
