Hentai, some of it at least, makes me deeply horny.
The beauty of cartoons is that they are 100% fantasy and exciting edgy fantasy is what I find erotic, not the basic animal functions of bodies and ordinary sex, whatever that really is. My sexuality is cerebral and emotional not physical, in the main.
Tentacle porn! How hot is that! Physical force and restraint by a living being which looks and feels like bondage.. it's impossible in real life but hot as hell as a fantasy. Speaking as a human and a top, if I could do that with my own body I SO would! Playmates, desperate to experience my new skill would be queuing round the block.
Don't get me wrong.. if there existed a video of a real alien abduction where a human was non consensually restrained and raped by a species not from this planet, I'd be there with the campaign to make this kind of rape and abduction an offense, to make images of this an offense and the creation of space station prisons to apprehend such non human offenders. I definitely don't think it's OK in real life and would be horrified if real people were being put through such an experience.
Cartoons, adult themed ones and others too are an incredible art form and one I have always loved. If I could be a live cartoon I would do it. When I come across fun questionairres which ask who would play me in the movie of my life, I always answer a cartoon.
Modern cartoons bring to life better than ever the possibilities of doing the impossible with ink. Cartoon and other shows influenced my sexuality even as a youngster. I got in trouble for pretending to be Miss Piggy at school and smacking boys around. I loved Kermie for loving his arrogant bossy woman, for adoring her anyway despite and because of her power. I used to get excited when Penelope Pitstop got all tied up and then whimpered "Heeeeelp... heeeelllppp" I was inspired by her. I wanted to be tied to the tracks squealing for assistance, I wanted to be the evil cloaked villain cackling and enjoying her fear, I wanted to rescue her and cuddle her up afterwards and kiss her better. I wanted to put her through it again and again the exciting drama of her kidnap and rescue.
Hentai, is basically manga/anime porn - Japanese cartoons which have extended the exciting power themes already present in animations into the adult-only realm of sex. The artists are creators of impossible fantasy who draw them and have brought into moving images extended themes for adult amusement.
I consider hentai to be a valid form of erotic art and is a recent interest of mine. I know it makes me more excited than film of people because I love cartoons already. The style of drawing in hentai follows that of the style of Japanese cartoons in general, just as an adult version of the kidnap of Penelope Pitstop would look like the original cartoon.. In hentai the age of the people is often hard to tell, as with Penelope, it is hard to draw age on a cartoon which is a basic line drawing. We pick up signals mainly from how a character is dressed. Penelope is dressed like a lady driver so we assume her to be adult age, but what of the people in manga where the drawing style is for girly dressing, tiny faces with huge eyes, ambiguous looking gender and fabulous impossible hairdos? When translated into it's adult form, hentai, things start looking more dodgy under the new rules government wish to impose on porn.

I am rather worried that under this law I may have been viewing what would be illegal material. I feel slightly disgusted and ashamed of myself that I have possibly been viewing something that might be considered a form of child pornography. More than that I feel angry that government would view me as a potential child abuser because I look at such material and be allowed to make me feel ashamed and afraid when I know I have never and would never commit an offense against a child and that is not my fantasy, that is not why I view this fabulous erotic art. My fantasy is to look at tentacle porn and other similar things, the artists are adults, it's only available to adults and pen and ink do not need to consent as they are not sentient beings.
How does one know whether a cartoon character in a manga cartoon or hentai image 17 or 18 years of age?
It's baffling and I am worried about this.

Some background - The word "hentai" has a pejorative meaning in Japanese and is commonly used to mean "sexually perverted" - "変態性慾心理" (..OK Tanos doesn't do Japanese...(sic)..."Hentai Seiyoku Shinri") means something like "psychology of the sexually perverted" and frequently features in those on-line medical journals that I keep reading... Interestingly though, the "tentacle porn" was there at the start of the whole thing, and goes back to a woodcut by Katsushika Hokusai called "the dream of the fishermans's wife" made around 1820. This work is considered a seminal piece and Hokusai produced many other classic works, such as "The Great Wave" and "Red Fuji". He was an important influence on Van Gogh (there is nothing in the new law about damage to the ears is there?). So, is Hokusai to be banned?
