Hey all
This week has shown me and Lee , that we are blessed to have so many good friends. The kind words and offers of help have warmed our hearts . Everytime people have called i have cried with emotion , in the end not wanting to face the phone or text for my mind was consumed with Daddi Lee!!!
For Daddi Lee , the past few months have been agony for Daddi Lee , her pain level has gone through the roof .As time has gone on, running up to the operation she has been experiencing more and more pain. I had to take her to A&E on Sunday due to her pain being more than she could handle!!
We had been preparing for this operation , and knew it was disckectamy or shaving off the bulging herniated disk . However the nerves were building as the day cam closer for her operation . When we addmitted her Wednesday , we were informed that the server pain may be due to more disc problems and that they were planning now to do a fushion!They were going to cut her throat at the front and expose her spine , removing the disc and placing a titanium cage and screws around the bon to support it!! This gave both of us great concern ,as her Mother had a failed fushion , causing her extream servere pain everyday and is now bed ridden !!
You can imagine our concerns , but the surgeon assured us that he had performed over 1500 operations all successfully ! The hospital spinal unit was wonderful , the nurses attentive , the ward was small with just two other women in the space and immediatly they gave her morphin for the pain in her arms and back . All this gave us confidence that she was in good hands , and helped to ease our worries .There were many tears and hugs leaving her on wednesday , Daddi Lee whispering to me " be brave , I need you to be brave for me!"
On thursday she went down to theatre , and again the heatache and emotions were difficult to bare , having to drive was hard on my emotions enough , but watching her be taken down , was ripping me in half , and my fear grew.
I have not slept , not eaten musch (not like me) and my own back has been causing some discomfort for tensing . I cannot describe the great sense of relief when last night quite unexpected , Daddi Lee rang me from her hospital bed following surgery !! She said finally her pain had gone in her arms and shoulders but the would in her neck was horrific with a drain. Just to hear her voice was enough, my heart sang on hearing her talk !
I am going to the hospital with a demand for blue bag haribo (because its soft) , and to bring special muffins ! I am afraid of what she will look like , and no doubt will be crying once again !
So the operation is a success, it is just a time for healing and recovery ! Thankyou , all the people who have sent us words of support , it has meant a great deal to us both! Hx

I think maybe LaRouge got the wrong end of the stick? (Daddi Lee is her Partner/fiance/Dominant!) Anyways.... I am sorry to hear that her pain was so severe, but now the op is done and it has shortened the long wait until the scehduled Op. She is in the best hands now..and i am sure they be doing an amazing job. And if not...well im sure she will be telling them what theyre doing wrong..(as only a butch can do!) She does need your strength right now...but dont forget that its ok to be scared..to cry..to worry and you must lean on your friends at this time. *sending you both positive thoughts* love always k & M I've ran out of sick days...so i'm calling in dead |
