Well there's a bit more to it than that, me thinks. There is all the anticipation, mental preparation. There is a very high level of trust, implicit in the fact that they have delivered themselves to the dungeon door, no safecalls, and in the dungeon no-one can hear you scream! Then there is an implicit protocol from the off, a formal address, a knowing of who is what and that is the way it will be. Just the very fact of being where you are means much in itself, establishes elements of the dynamic automatically. I think a trickier thing to describe is the way baggage is left at the door too. Because that makes it sound impersonal, and that's not what I mean. I mean that, even if there are troubles and issues in wider life, and we all have those, this is a special time, where we can really be free as ourselves. Perhaps the effect of being in a dungeon environment rather than a bedroom or living room too - I remember the first time I entered a PD dungeon, quite some experience, that, even though I was there to teach rope rather than be a client. And there is no point in being self conscious with a pro, just go for it. The whole arrangement peals away inhibitions, like that. I am sure there are more aspects, but there are many special qualities to professional domination that seem to add up to being able to go further, faster, than in other playtimes. Isn't it just! Sometimes after a really intense 2 hour session I go to bed for a kip - er, I mean power nap.
