I thought this article and the responses made encouraging reading considering its a more 'mainstream' (if geeky) publication putting out an article strongly against the laws...and most of the comments agreeing with the article.

It was just a pity that they closed the comments before I could reply to the idiotic comments addressed to me that *caused* the comments section to be closed...!

Still, it's a telling sign that the flaming was comes from one side of the debate.http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/extreme-images/ - Petition against "extreme porn" law!

nice to see an un-biased article pity the general media doesn't also take the same view x "I love you" is 8 letters but so is "bullshit"

If the general media took the same view they wouldn't sell newspapers, they need to spread doom and gloom these days. I have lots of journalistic friends who have nothing to do with the tabloids or broad sheets now as they are so incredibly biased.
Most have gone into magazine journalism, or have specialised and now work for or freelance in the trade press. The good old days of proper investigative journalism that saw things like Watergate, Purfumo affair exposed seem to be long gone these days. |
