can't say the same for the bathroom though

i took advice 2 pairs of gardening gloves, and a pair of marigolds, and my big thick winter coat, ran the bath, kitchen sink didn't seem like a good idea, he has springs on his feet and can reach the back of his neck with his teeth ......... anyway, scruffed him, dipped him in (you've never heard such pitiful wailing lol, he's such a baby)

I've always bathed my cats, and never known one this bad, anyway, he only managed to get out of the bath 3 times, so now the floor is about an inch deep in water (needed a wash anyway) more crying like a baby as he got rinsed, any he only got me 4 times, but thankfully teeth didn't go through the gloves.

the oil has made his back sore, he sits under the car a lot, so maybe i should bath him more, but he gets very traumatised,

anyway he is now the cleanest he's been since his last bath about 6 months ago ........ and it's got him licking himself anyway lol ....... if he did that more often i might not have to bath him ....... hopefully he will forgive me soon and come for a cuddle

i'm very relieved we are all still alive

If he licked himself when he was covered in engine oil, it would make him very ill indeed

i know, thats why i had to bath him, normally he gets a patch on his neck and its not too bad, i use those cleaning wipes and it gets the worst off, but he had too much ...... his skin is sore from it though, im gonna start following him to find out whos bloody car it is he sits under lol

We had a cat once when I was little that got doused in oil, he tried to lick himself clean before he came home, we (I mean my parents) washed as much off as we could, but sadly that night he died.
I've never bathed a cat wouldn't want to try with any of mine, although the little one did get in the bath with me once on her own. she was only a a few months old at the time.

thankfully Asbo is a dirty bugger and doesn't wash then ..... that's awful poor little thing ......... i've always started bathing kittens very young, and most of them get used to it in time, I've had 2 that used to get in the bath with me ........Asbo has always hated it though ....... but then he'll go and roll in mud (weirdo) and go out in the pouring rain ........ so i only bath him when its really necessary and after hearing that story i'm glad i did
