Would you believe what a gloriously warm day its turned into today after the rain and chilliness of yesterday.
I wore a long gypsy style skirt, a thin jumper and thin jacket today and i was boiling wandering around Manchester in the sun but it was soooo pleasant even tho Master kept making me walk in the shade!!!.
Master and i picked my parents up at the early time of 9.15am this morning and we drove over to Manchester. Master dropped dad and myself off at the science museum and we went in to see the dead bodies exhibition while he and my mum had a look around House of Frazer and went for coffee together until it was tiem for us to meet up.
Dad was fascinated by the exhibition...id been a few weeks earlier with Master but hadnt told my parents cos we didnt want dad to say he wasnt bothered about going just cos id already seen it. Mind you, it was still brilliant and i enjoyed looking at all the exhibits once again.
Once we had met up with mum and Master we had a look around Manchester cos its years since my parents were last there and then we took them for lunch at Nandos in the Printworks. We ate loads and were totally stuffed...Master ordered for us all and we got two huge platefuls of chicken, rice, corn on the cob, chips, coleslaw and garlic bread...phew.
Afterwards for a surprise we took mum and dad for a ride on the big wheel and they loved it, especially dad who was like a little boy again and just kept taking loads of photos of the city from high up..bless him.
Before we made our way home we popped into the Arndale centre to visit Hotel Chocolat of course and mum n dad bought Master a huge slab of chocolate to say thanks for their day out which was really lovely of them.
On the way back to the car we bought cold drinks from Starbucks and drank them on the journey home. It was getting to late afternoon and after a quick look at dads garden which is his pride and joy Master brought me home.
Master didnt come in cos he needed to be getting back to work but before he left he did promise me nettles on Saturday...yummy gulp.
So, we have had a really delightful day out...its dads birthday on Sunday and this was a birthday treat for him and im just really chuffed that the sun shone and we all had a brilliant time...oh yes, i managed not to call Master 'Master' all day apart from once when we went into Harvey Nicks and i saw a nice handbag and excitedly called out "Master look".
Whoops, the assistant turned and stared but i dont think my parent caught what i had said..least if they did they didnt say anything.
They did give me a strange look when Master bought something and gave me the bag to carry which i did without even thinking about it tho again they didnt say anything...they probably think live and let live ![]()
Well, im a tired girl now so im gonna have a nice long bath and then curl up with my library book and relax...certainly dont want any tea cos im still popping.
bye for now.
