REBOUND CLUB 10TH MAY 2008 (2)

Last night at Rebound, I asked the male organiser of the Club for answers to the questions that were put forward by me over the past week.

He told me that was my first warning and that after three strikes I was out. I asked him what my warning was for and was told that was my second warning. I was then told to move away or I would be given a third warning. I was then told I was barred.

I was then approached by a male who said that I should leave the Club. I asked what authority he had, he replied that he was the Club's security steward. As neither myself nor anyone else for that matter had been made aware that the Club now had the services of security staff, I did not see why I should leave the premises. I was then told by him that he had 20 years experience as a door steward and was entitled to remove me from the premises. He then said he would count to 5 and then use force if necessary to remove me from the Club. I said I would call the Police if force was used , his reply was "Call the Police". I was then pushed out the door.

I called the Police and advised them of the situation and this was the reason for their subsequent visit to the Club. The Police assured me that the purpose of their visit would be to talk ONLY to the organiser and the security steward.

I apologise to everyone attending the Club who felt awkward about the Police being involved, however I was given very little alternative after the actions of the organiser.

Please note the following-

1. This was apparently the FIRST visit to the Club by the " security steward" involved.

2. The Club organiser told the Police that the " security steward" involved was not actually in an official capacity, but was just helping out in dealing with the situation.

3. I have been barred from a club that I have been a member of since it's inception. My crime? To ask questions.

4. My questions have still NOT been answered.

To all Rebound Club members, it is your club and you are entitled to have an input into how it is run.

To the Organisers, my question still remains unanswered,

ON WHAT BASIS DO YOU CONSIDER YOU HAVE ENTITLEMENT TO OWNERSHIP OF REBOUND CLUB?
