Three days (1)

That's how long I've invested in writing the bulk of 6,000 words worth of essay this week.
Typically, it was the final three days before they were due in, with one handed in yesterday, and the other handed in earlier this morning; this after being up until 4.30am this morning putting the finishing touches to it, and then waking up at about 9am with a flash of inspiration which saw some editing and additions.
This, understandably, has taken up the bulk of my time, and as such other things have been pushed to one side a little. While this was perhaps unavoidable, it's still not the greatest of things. It feels like I need a day or two to get a semblance of balance back, which is itself a problem given there only being three free days between now and the start of my few exams.
That said, it feels like the two are as good as anything I've written this year; the latter essay in particular. Although I haven't had a lot of written essay work to do this year, I still feel like my skills in that area have developed rapidly to the level needed to do well at this level.
Next year, however, there is a LOT of essay work, to the point where this 'last minute pressured writing' approach would probably just see me being overwhelmed by things at some point. If I try to do that, can someone that knows me please slap me or something?
