Why the special mention of someone with Asperger's Syndrome? Have you been involved with someone who suffers from it? As for reading through to tne end... it took some effort early on a Saturday morning, and I nearly stopped reading at the "Asperger's Syndrome" point... Firstly..... i'm going to forget 99% of the written crap in the blog.
What really got me about this blog is your blatant lack of knowledge and your not going to further yourself with an attitude that stinks. Oh, and btw. My son has Aspergers Syndrome, he in no way suffers or is an idiot for that matter. Please choose your words carefully, thank you. arwen a 4 foot, 11 and 3/4 inch elf.

Hi I know nothing about the Scottish scene, except for the one or two people I've met in the Midlands who travelled down for events. However don't let others bring you down. In my experience there is room in this so-called scene for everyone. Avoid events run by people you don't like, or just turn up and only chat to the genuine people. Organise your own events, people will come and you will enjoy them better. Down here in Birmingham there are events/munches I always go to, some I will if I'm in the neighbourhood but not fussed about, and some I avoid. Not been banned from anywhere (yet), but if I was I'd just ignore the people concerned and get on with having fun with the genuinely nice people in the scene, who vastly outnumber the not-nice people. http://www.thedungeonclub.co.uk/

What brought that on? The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

I admit, I know very little about autism, apart from my first hand experience with the autistic. However, most people with autism I know are not idiots and are in fact incredibly intelligent people who think a little differently to me - a good thing in my book. Please don't take my remarks about aspergers syndrome idiot guy as my feelings about all of those suffering with autism, I don't work nor think like that. I am a little angry at this particular guy - it doesn't reflect how I feel about autistic people in general. Those that know me will find this blog rather funny. I was drunk when I wrote it - I should probably stay away from my computer when I am drunk, or hell, people in general. I am not using aspergers as an insult. I have probably offended huge swathes of people. Cest La Vit, develop thicker skin and realise that this is a silly drunk rant. I could have put it much more diplomatically and said the same thing - not many would have been offended. However, I find colourful offensive and descriptive language amusing - it is my warped and offensive sense of humour. Think of the rant like a Chris morris style show, like brass eye etc - you may find it funnier. That is the spirit it is mostly in - but still has a serious point underneath. You really have to take it with a pinch of salt and put it all in context. I'm sure you mean "c'est la vie". "Vit" is a rather outdated word for cock.

Obviously for the purposes of this nonsense they don't exist. "I don't know what your destiny will be, but one thing I do know: the only ones among you who will be really happy are those who have sought and found how to serve." - Albert Schweitzer. |
