Hospital doctor to patient who is exhausted from pain and lack of sleep. Who has had nothing but water for 21 hours whilst waiting for a scan that might give them a clue as to why their ill.
"I'm sorry your not being scanned today, but that's the way the NHS is. We do deaths door really well but a bit poorly we're not so good at."
Distressed patient asks whether they will definitely get their scan tomorrow
"I cannot tell you, that's in the hands of radiology. If we cannot persuade them to do it tomorrow morning then I'm afraid it will be Monday afternoon. Radiology don't work Friday afternoons or at the weekend."
Oh and meanwhile in a bed down the hall, admitted at the same time, is an 18 yr old girl who had a private tummy tuck, after her elective C section, that has now gone sceptic. So now an NHS plastics team will make good the damage for free. Send her the bill and use it to pay for some radiology overtime perhaps?

'Shambles' yup sounds about right. Most of the plastic surgery that goes wrong in some form it is normally NHS that deals with it damn shambles. Each time you get hurt I don't want you to change. We all have hope you're human after all...
The world is just an illusion
Always
trying too change you

When I used to work for the NHS, we used to regularly get patients sent from the private abortion clinic down the road - as soon as something goes wrong in private medicine, the NHS has to sort it out as an emergency. |

There seems to be too many C sections nowadays, it seems they just seem to think it's all easier to get the child cut out.
I had a child naturally then a emergency C section due to placenta praevia for my second child. I can tell you which was harder to heal from!
But I've also seen NHS patients having surgery in private hospitals. |
