I've met so many who talk and act like this and in the end they turned out to be a complete waste of time. They couldn't deliver what they spoke of and they were so far up there own arses that I seriously began to doubt wether they believed in thier originally stated views at all.

I used to find that it sounded quite romantic and alluring, but now after meeting people like this it's a complete turn off. You expect them to be charming but most of them are so rude you just want to run/ hit them.

And plus, I hate the way they always try to patronize you with ''Before you spoke to me... you never knew what a real vampire was, you thought it was all about garlic, sucking blood, and lestat blah blah blah. BUT I'M THE REAL THING! Fear me'' HAH. If they were so 'clued up' they'd have the open-mindedness to realise that not all people have that line of thought.

Funny thing is though, whenever I tell one of these types that this is my view on them, they seem to always respond with ''Well, you've been seeing the wrong people, they're all wannabes to this enigma'' and then they turn out to be completely the same.

I'm sorry, normally I'd keep quiet, but I am just so sick of seeing people get fucked over by this kind of person, I couldn't keep the rant to myself.

This is just my 2p. I'm no saying this is how it -is-, it's just my opinion and I'll leave you lot to make your own minds up.

You are Not wrong !!

Pebbles In A Pool To inflict pain, to have it inflicted on you, to be in a position of power, to have that power removed... its sexual, isn't it?

It can be, power exchange does it for me...

Pebbles In A Pool Because we are power, we are truly free. But without the sexual buzz, what's the point? You may as well be grounded, like a castrated wolf... no bite

Thinks it can be very spiritual too, pain can free the mind... liberate the soul...

Good news for people who love bad news

Whilst I don't disagree with the sentiment in the original posting, I've accepted Bourbon's apology and assurance that the opinion wasn't aimed at me, but in posts of a similar nature.

Now, I have to inform you - and everyone - that I am what you see on the tin. I do what I say I do. Don't "fear me", I'm not Lestat... I'm not an ethereal being with a black heart and a turned up collar. But romance and pain go together, and, to prove it, I challenge anyone who doubts it, talk to some who know me... they're in this site... or meet me themselves. Then they'll know.

:) x

I agree, it is possible to intertwine romance and pain BUT it is also possible to enjoy each separately.

A lover might relish romance but not the pain.

A masochist might enjoy the pain sans any hint of romance.

Because they "go together" for you does not necessarily mean they do so for everyone.

Don't make someone a priority, when you are simply an option to them!
Never take someone for granted. Hold every person close to your heart cause you might wake up one morning and realise that you've lost a diamond while you were busy collecting stones
