hi all, i'm over in shanghai for some work and i'm loving exploring this new city. very friendly and very cheap food. as i'll be online all day every day for work, i'm not actually that far away from IC and can easily stay in contact. i'm trying to set up a munch with some folk in the bdsm networks here and have a few good leads already and a small social forming. all is good.

massive amounts of food good ghirly. we went to some duck restaurant last night and had a big team duck feast. was lovely. i'm intrigued by the politics of this place. the chinese enjoy so many freedoms we don't. e.g traffic signs and lights seem to be purely for 'advisory reasons'. they can protest how they like, well more than brits can since blair's SOCPA came in. and the smokers have no laws restricting their freedoms. of course there's way more to it than that, but britain can easily be seen as an oppressive regime in the same light that china is portrayed. it's a poor city, by british standards certainly, which is why it was cheap. these are just my initial thoughts. the duck was delicious. catcher | ||

Blinding. Gotta love foreign signs. I think there's an entire website dedicated to them somewhere, only i can't remember what it's called. "Engrish" or something, i think... anyway, that one's definitely a contender! ------------------------------------------ | ||
