Edward Lorenz the man who came up with 'chaos theory' and illustrated it with 'the butterfly effect' has died age 90.

Hmmm - perhaps I should tidy up now

The butterfly effect - mmm. The domino effect of the flapping of the wings of a butterfly may diminish or increase depending on the direction in which the butterfly is going. If that butterfly flies erratically or is damaged, the ensuing chaos must be far greater than could be predicted or managed within normal parameters.

It's all about energy.
