That's interesting. I really don't believe that the TAZapper is a fly swatter: it may well be a modified one though (say, a small discharge capacitor). But has anybody else noticed that the handle of the Executioner: http://images.glebecomputers.co.uk/images/ebay/e... is almost identical to the handle of the TAZapper: http://toystoysonline.com/images/electric/taz-ba... The button even looks the same. The Executioner works at 3000V.

Anyway a tazer isn't classed as a gun over here because it doesn't actually involve a projectile - the darts that are shot from the gun... I can't see how by anyone's definition the tazapper could be classed as a gun.

Well I am worried about this. In fact, I would like to buy the TAZapper from Devus, but I just don't know if it's legal. Also, are devus reliable, safe; has anybody here used them before?

I doubt it is illegal to own one or use it on a consenting partner as it does not cause any lasting damage. It may be considered an offensive weapon if you are carrying it openly in public, but so would a penknife, a police baton or even a big stick. I wouldn't recommend taking it on a plane either! If you were importing it from outside the EU Customs may have a problem with it because of the name, but it should be no problem if bought within the UK/EU They aren't Tasers designed to immobilise someone, they are toys designed to give a safe but sharp shock. Apparently the flash units of disposable cameras can be converted into very effective zappers too...
