It's quite good fun reading all the posts from people who didn't notice it was April 1st, or who assumed the site had been struck by "hackers" who had deleted everyone's pictures; or assumed that IC had fallen victim to some grand new government initiative! There are so many of them, too. The most amusing one of all was:

I don't know if this was meant to be satire or not, but it certainly made me laugh.
As someone pointed out, your "Gordon" image is displayed at the same width and height as your normal image; chances are this means that all this was done with minimal changes to the database. The filenames are all the same too. Presumably, the files have all been moved somewhere else.
(my first guess, if you read the un-edited version of this post, was wrong - I should have checked the page source first)
Seriously, though, go and support the people who are raising objections and campaigning against the current legislation. And then start a thread about it. If there can be this many threads on the boards about a silly picture, why can't there be that many about something that matters? It's going to hit some of you just as directly.
