Yesterday I intended to buy a lottery ticket. I very rarely do, but I was in the shop and I thought I had a couple of quid in change so I'd do yesterdays and Saturdays with the same numbers.
I filled out the form and ticked the box for both draws. Then I went to pay and realised I didn't have the money I thought I had because I'd bought a book of stamps four minutes previously and had completely forgotten about it. I pondered breaking into the twenty pound note in my wallet but decided against, reasoning that playing the lottery is a waste of money and I could take the form home and check the numbers and feel satisfied that I'd saved my money.
So tonight I checked the numbers and three of them had been drawn. I would have won a tenner, dammit.

That'd have been 3 new toothbrushes. I know you must be crushed. Easy? You men have no idea what we're dealing with down there. Teeth placement, and jaw stress, and suction, and gag reflex, and all the while bobbing up and down, moaning and trying to breathe through our noses. Easy? Honey, they don't call it a job for nothing!

That reminds me of a friend of mine who was moaning that she never wins anything on the lottery. When I asked her how often she brought a ticket she said never. http://www.thedungeonclub.co.uk/
