I guess it could be that the scene has got a litle bit weighted to those people who have been around for longer than some. |

The 'scene' isn't something abstract or created for us, its us, we make and shape it! So those of us who have been around a while have had the time to influence it.

Perhaps, nevertheless it's completely correct. U35's lack so much of the undercurrent of bigger munches. For the newbie, they are far and away superior. The main munch in Manchester is ace. In LJ it's got one of the finest, most dedicated organisers in the country. My munch running skills pale by comparison but still, I maintain, that the u35 is a far less intimidating environment from the perspective of a newbie. It's no reflection on the organisers. It's all about the demographic. She asked for a Gestapo Interrogation scene, so I put needles under her nails, broke her legs and had her shot at dawn.
