We went to visit one of my sons tonight. It was both of our birthdays yesterday and his girlfriends birthday today. He lives with his girlfriend and their five year old son.
So they both opened their presents and thankfully they were really pleased. I had of course brought some things for the grandson. He got stickers a book and a truck thing as well as his Easter egg. He may as well have it now as he will have too many come Easter. I say every year I will get presents instead of chocolate then think back to when I was a kid and change my mind.
So then it was my turn. I was given a lovely gift bag. I opened it up. Inside was some lovely perfume, some nice chocolates, a card from my son and his girl and one from the grandson.
AND
The little love had gone around looking for something to give to me from him. He had put into the bag without his mum and dad knowing a model Eeyore that he had painted himself. He just looked at me and said. "I wanted to give you something from me"
You have to realise my grandson is a total nightmare of a child. However today I could have eaten him up. He even ended up sitting on my knee doing writing and sounds.
So I got the bestestestestest pressie ever, a model of EEyore painted muddy blue, red and purpuly green.

I totally agree only problem is my grandchildren live in Kent and I am in Wales <sobs> Mikki 38 days and counting I go to
