I made such a terrible mistake today. Monday is laundry day. There are rules, after all. Well, I collected the towels from the bathroom last night and placed them in the clothes bin.

And completely forgot to replace them with nice, clean ones. So there was my wonderful man, stark bloody naked, dripping wet from the shower (and dripping water on the carpet - <shudder>!), having to find a clean towel from the linen cupboard.

Of course, he picked a completely wrong one.

Blues towels do not go in a green and white bathroom. Blue towels are guest towels. He's a man, I'm quite sure that such details aren't high on his agenda (espcially when you're wet).

I mustn't grumble at him. It was my fault. I'm hopeless. I should return my domestic goddess certificate post haste.

but panda face ....... surely the sight of a wet naked man on your landing is a sight to behold?? you should have offered to lick the drips off
anyway you are an inspiration to me ...... you even got a mention in my latest blog ......... you are still my heroine of domestic goddessliness .......... by the way...... any idea how to get red emulsion off my new jumper???

Wouldn't it be smart to make the sticky stuff on envelopes taste like chocolate?
Why do dogs sniff other dog's bottoms to say hello, why don't they just bark in their face or something?
How do they get the air inside the bubble wrap?

Thank you. Your words bring me deep comfort.
As for the emulsion - as it isn't gloss - it's water based and should come off with water and soap.
Remove as much as you possibly can, then rub in neat washing up liquid. Continuously run cold water on your jumper until the stain is removed and then wash as normal.

Anyway... deeply disappointing display but i'm sure it was but a momentary lapse in otherwise flawless work

Yes, Mr Daws, it was a momentary lapse! Thank you. But the sight of a blue towel in the bathroom will haunt my dreams for many a-day.
Maybe I should ask Altheus to beat me for my lapse.

That's a cruel and unusual punishment and is thus banned under international law. I shall request an emergency U.N. Security Council summit.
