And just imagine the 'ch-ch-ch-ch-' before it, in a David Bowie stylee should you so wish ;)

There are some afoot right now, and for a change they're all good, and driven by desire rather than necessity alone.

First up, over the next month or so I need to confirm things here at Uni for next year. There's the standard choice of module things, which everyone has to do, but there's a bit more beyond that too. Although nothing at all is concrete, and I don't know for sure I'll have the scope to do it anyway since numbers are limited, I'm giving some consideration to slightly changing my degree programme. Really I just want to know which of the two options I probably have will suit more the things I'm the most interested in, and if one or the other will provide constraints down the line... Can't really talk more without going into detail which would bore people further, which I'm sure you can all do without! There's a meeting being worked out to talk to someone though, so after that there may well be more rambling on it.

Next, something that reads like a really small point, but actually has massive ramifications elsewhere - I'm trying to make changes to my general time management strategies. Again, without detail (namely because talking about it loads would probably bore even me!), the overall aim is to be more goal oriented when it comes to work, which will hopefully have the effect of getting more done in the same amounts of time. Alongside this, there's going to be an attempt to stop work and leisure time bleeding into each other and crossing over. While it's kinda nice to have the feeling of wanting to grab books and start with stuff at midnight, it's less nice when that leads to being a zombie the day after, or if it becomes a necessity after leisure time/pissing about disrupted time when things are more productively done.

There's a potentially a big and altogether nice change happening elsewhere in life too. A couple of perceptive people have noticed a thing or two, and a few close friends have heard vague snippets, and this skirting around the issue does of course mean it's not going to be mentioned explicitly here. All I will say is that there's a smile on the face right now, and if the potential is realised it could end up being quite a lasting one :)

But I think these three things all show something - the best changes are the ones we make ourselves, and that laying back and waiting, or moaning and doing nothing, doesn't actually accomplish much of anything at all!

I'd drink to the realization of potential - but don't have a decent drink.

Hope Vimto will do, with a side dish of Wensleydale ;). Hang on..doesn't mould make cheese go all furry and...God forbid, FLUFFY?
