This is not a criticism of the organisers more of the venue. I take's me roughly 30 minutes to drive to the Kilmarnock munch which I arrived at shortly after 10pm only for the bar staff to shout last orders at roughly 10.30pm.
I don't think I was in the venue for more than 40 minutes before everyone was leaving, not much point in me coming along if this is the case. All the best. Those who don't hear the music think those who dance are insane (Jay Wiseman) Edited 25 Jul 08, 4:32 AM by Mad_Eye_Moody | |

We've already spoken to the staff regarding this and they assured us they would be staying open longer after the quiet times in January! I shall speak to them again and find out the reasons for closing so early, as it's a problem for several people who'd like to come along later in the evening. I'll keep you all updated. Got there at the start time (8pm - longer night if you start early!) to find only one other. Was about to offer him a run back to Glasgow as I head there on a Tuesday anyway before a few others thankfully turned up. However, at least Erath and I had some cake! For those on the sick, Effervescent Vitamin C from the supermarket, in bright orange tubes for about £1. 1000mg, take several per day when you're getting / got a cold.
Trust me - I'm a doctor! | |

On most occasions when I've been there the bar staff have called "Last orders!" at about 11pm. So if I weren't likely to get there until after 10, I don't think I'd bother going. However we aim to get there for somewhere between 8 and 9, so we at least get a couple of hours there. Couldn't make it this month, illness commandeered my time (and body) http://desocialized.com/ |
