Last night my little group (gavin and BooBoo) visited Afterlife for the first time and had a really excellent evening.
There was a friendly welcome on the door as we entered and as newbies we got a guided tour to show us where everything was. I think a personal greeting makes a good first impression, especially when going specifically for play somewhere as it makes the group relaxed in my experience.
Its very different to the other clubs I have attended in terms of the venue, very large open rooms and great space between the equipment in the main area. Normally I don't bring my longest flogger out with me to public play areas as there is rarely enough space to use it, last night I wish I had as it would have been well used.
There are 2 play areas, the first being set in its own room, it has a number of restraint pieces. I personally used the double St Andrews cross the most. A very versatile piece with access to both sides of my slave when restrained in place. Oh and it gave him an extra tingle when we played with the violet wand. The lighting was slightly dimmer than I like but I am one of these who likes stark lighting all the better see the reddening with!
The main room has another play area in and the lighting there is brighter (not stark though). The grope box is present there and a number of whipping benches, plus an examination table.
Seperated from there by a screen is the large seating area, dance floor and bar. I was impressed by the amount of seating available because I always find it difficult in other clubs not having anywhere to sit and relax post play.
gavin and I had a number of sessions during the night in the first play area and I noticed the DM at work on a couple of occassions. We were left to our own devices, except for at the beginning when we were told of the rules in the area and told to shout if needed anything. Other couples were noticed receiving direct assistance with roping/restraining.
All in all I think its definately somewhere I will visit again, especially if wanting a decent play session as the equipment suits my needs perfectly. From a socialising point of view I thought it was great being able to sit and chat, the music was loud enough for people to dance to but it didn't interfere with our conversations.
Looking forward to next month!

It was a brilliant night and day of service to You Mistress Alexandria. and i have the marks to prove how good it was, and your smile etched on my mind to doubly remind me how much fun i think we both had.

Really glad that you and all who came with you had a really enjoyable evening Saturday night at afterlife. That you felt comfortable in the surroundings and atmosphere that you was in. That we did every thing possible to make you feel welcome. I do myself like the personal touch of showing people round the club on entry, letting new people visiting the club may be for the first time, newbies or not. Letting people know were everything is from the dungeon play area, play area,to the cloak room, bar or smoking area. I think it is also necessary to point out the the clubs rules and dungeon etiquette, which are located in the dungeon play area and other play areas of the afterlife complex. Glad to see you and at afterlife and may be see you again on the 5th of April.
Hope you, BooBoo and all managed to get your "dirty" food after the club, See you soon, take care and thank you and your group again for you support T_S xx

I agree with LacednLicked's comments above. Good venue, well organised, good company, and well looked-after by Trojan Steel. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and will be back for more next month. 'Things should be made as simple as possible, and no simpler.' Albert Einstein. |
