Had an 'interesting' day today. Dropped Caz off to pick up the kiddies from school, driving back to work, down the hill around the bend (the bend around the back of B&Q), and then suddenly it all begins to drift very slowly and I end up with the car perched on the start of the crash barrier about 2" off the ground. Not fast, just a bit of a slide and oops.
Called the police as the car was sticking out into a blind bend, the first thing they said when they turned up 'you cannot park that there!!!' Still they helped me shift it off the ramp and into the carpark waiting for the AA to turn up. Apart from a deformed bumper everything looked ok until we noticed the rather large puddle of oil draining from a 10p sized hole in the sump.. I didn't know how fast it all came out until then!!
Still car is now in garage (thank goodness for Fully Comp), with the Easycar booked for the weekend so we won't miss LAM.
Just a quicky note to thank Richard for all the running around he has done today, and of course to the Police who helped move me off the barrier without laughing too much, and the AA man with the quick steel gloopy stuff, and of course Caz, my wife to be.. (I love you I do I do I do I do I do I do I do I do... just practicing) who has to cope with me getting stressed over everything!!!!

P.S. spoke to the car hire company for my insurance... the guy on the end of the phone actually saw me stuck on the barrier earlier on in the afternoon.

It least you didn't have that happen like on the motorway. I know that bend and I drift around it without an oil leak!
Today's the tomorrow you worried about yesterday. | |

As an aside, drove around the bend yesterday, and saw a Fiesta stuck on the top of the barrier. Sorry mate I know how it feels Si E-Stim Systems Ltd http://www.e-stim.co.uk The New Series 2 is here |
